  • African Friendship Society

    Vancouver

    Offers cultural, artistic, and educational events rooted in values of friendship, community, and heritage. Programs include the “Sounds of Africa” music program for children and “Viongozi Future Leaders” for youth aged 15–29.

  • Ethọ́s Lab

    Vancouver

    A Black-led innovation academy for youth in grades 5–12, fusing Black culture into S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programming to encourage inclusion, acceptance, and representation. Programs include workshops, mentorship, and access to emerging technologies.

  • Black Boys Code

    Multiple Locations

    A national organization dedicated to introducing Black youth to computer science through free coding workshops, after-school programs, and summer camps. Aims to empower Black youth with digital literacy skills to become tomorrow’s leaders in tech.

    A one-to-one volunteer mentoring program for children and youth facing challenges at home, school, or in the community.

    Offers engaging activities, services, and resources for youth aged 9 -24, focusing on building relationships, capacity building, and civic engagement.

    Delivers a continuum of programs to children, youth, and families, focusing on well-being, family functioning, and healthy decision-making.

Therapists

  • Raven Adams

    Raven (she/hers) is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from UBC. She has worked with women and youth in community and counselling settings.

  • Esther Ofori

    I currently work as an Adult Mental Health Clinician, Fraser Health. Previously, I worked as a Youth Concurrent Disorders therapist and as a counselor in reputable counseling services including Family Support Programs.

  • Suad Mohamed

    Suad is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology and minoring in Counselling.

  • Ruth Patta

    I hold a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MA, MFT) from Trinity Western University and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors (BCACC).

  • Ruth Unaegbu

    Hi, I’m Ruth Unaegbu, founder of Ruth Unaegbu Counselling & Coaching. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #12132) & Supervisor providing private therapy and supervision services in British Columbia, Canada.

  • Theresa Thomas
