Empowered Black Girl Mentorship Program

About The Program
The Empowered Black Girl Mentorship Program connects young Black Girls in grades 7-12 in Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland with professional Black Women mentors for six months of structured, identity-affirming mentorship.
Every mentee moves through all three focus areas in sequence. Each track runs for roughly two months, combining in-person and virtual sessions led by a mentor. During each track session, mentees are split into age-based breakout rooms. Exact groupings will be finalized after applications close.

How It Works
Professional mentors (background check required)
10-15 mentees per cohort, moving through all 3 tracks together
Surveys at start, midpoint and end to track growth
5 hybrid sessions over 6 months
Celebration circle & certificate of completion

Get Involved
We are looking for Black Women professionals (25+) who are passionate about giving back and walking alongside the next generation.
Requirements: Criminal check, professional and character references, and a commitment to one in-person track session, plus a session log and mandatory mentor orientation.
Become a Mentor
Open to Black Girls in Grades 7–12 in Greater Vancouver or the Lower Mainland who are ready to grow, connect, and step into their power.
Requirements: Applicants must be able to commit to attending all 3 sessions plus the Celebration Circle. Parent or guardian consent is also required.
